There are so many possibilities.
Having studied graphic design and film production in college, I worked in the industry for my first few months as a graduate. One night, I asked God what He wanted of me. At 3 a.m., I awoke with a vision. There, my passion made sense. There, the people whose lives I admired had work of significance - and mine was included. I stepped out of the goals I had and decided to work toward that vision:
- taking others, who were willing and more capable than myself
- to teach kids around the world.
- giving children opportunities, to learn, to engage, to explore new things
- connecting with friends who live in various parts of the world
- learning about life where they live and encouraging them in their significant work.
A few trips later, I was looking to study art therapy.
Given the invitation to live in Indonesia, to work with artists there - I put grad school aside. It wouldn't change much while I was away.
Well, as I look back, both were significant turns. And even in hindsight, both were really good decisions. Still, I find myself wondering "What if?" and "Now what?"
My interest in trailer editing, art therapy, connecting people, the world, and significance are still here. I'm not sure what comes next. But I'm grateful for significant connections along the way.
